We all hear the sirens as they blast through town echoing through our homes and offices. Very often they are false alarms, but sometimes they are real emergencies. December 3, 2003 the fire was real. Engulfing 39 of the 45 units at Windward Harbour. Over 100 brave firefighters fought the fire that broke out just after midnight on that cold Wednesday. Luckily, there were only 6 residents in the entire complex and none were hurt. The 45 unit complex was rebuilt becoming one of the most highly desired communities with its bay views, pool, and close proximity to the Avalon Yacht Club. Below are photos of the fire that brought down the complex.
